Reminisce about young summer days
ALBUM: Summer Camp Revival.
There's something whimsical about the concept of summer camp. You're young, perhaps ten or eleven, and yet you go to live in the woods with your friends outnumbering the supervising counselors. In the woods you have both nothing and everything to do. The creative will find activities. The intelligent realize their power over the authority. The wise wield their power and their creativity responsibly. At summer camp, whatever whim wanders your way, you are free do to. Your choices are between your isolated micro-civilization and the spirits of nature. What will you do with your individual power? When you return home from those woods, will you notice the responsibility (or lack thereof) in greater civilization? Perhaps I'm overcomplicating it - summer camp is just about having fun.

I sometimes like to imagine that there is this small New England town where the epitome of the autumn lifestyle is alive. The music is lofi jazz, the foamy coffee steams into the lightly chilled air, the buildings are all brown brick and the houses are lit with orange yellow, and purple string lights. When I spot something that belongs in that town, I always capture it. Fall is my favorite season and if this town exists, it is my favorite place.
