Boston, Massachusetts
Welcome to the Second place I call home. Goal of the page? Get you to obsess about this city as much as I do. The history of so many grand people is woven into these streets. Presidents, scholars, writers, and my friends all contributed to its tales. With autumn leaves, brownstone bricks, and twinkling string-lights, there's nothing else you could need.
Welcome  to Boston.
BEACON HILL
British rule got you feeling down? Take a stroll through Beacon Hill and contemplate your revolutionary ideas.
Big History did a great job designing this area of the city to inspire its tourists to buy more history. Perhaps I should blame my Beacon Hill strolls for the number of history books I've accumulated.
If you want specifically more of this, here's a whole separate Beacon Hill page.
BOSTON COMMONS
A September evening, a book under the willow trees, and ghostly orb lampposts. The common is enchanting.
I think I've made the case for public parks. Keep scrolling if you disagree.
THE ESPLANADE
Another park! (feat. Charles River Sunsets).
I'm just imagining some lofi-jazz music right now. A soft sunset stroll along the river too.
POV you're hungry and stealthily scoping out the food truck
I can't explain why, but this just gives HGTV house hunters vibes.
BACK BAY
For all the age-challenged out there, here's some motivation: Boston is 400 years old and she looks amazing!
Commonwealth Street is the epitome of old money. They should share the wealth - kinda in the name of the street...
When did we stop making cool public street-lamps?
When I heard "I Look in People's Windows" on The Tortured Poets Department, this is what I thought of.
NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY
Feeling so Global, so Experiential, and so Northeast with this view.
Well of course the fall-vibes seep into the dorms too.
Retro or just out of date? Depends on how creative you are :)
"And this is ISEC," I hear the tour guide say just before the "oooo's" and the "ahhhs" of the prospective students.
ISABELLA STEWART GARDNER MUSEUM
Please note: this was once someone's house. So yeah, check yourself next time you feel fancy and cool.
And that's it! But there is so so so much more of Boston. You have to check it out. I love this city (clearly). If you ever need recommendations, feel free to ask!
